LICENSE RENEWAL
- License renewal date is the last day of the birth month every 2 years

- An Instructor can earn the same number of credit hours as the student
COURSE SUBJECT REQUIREMENTS
- 3 hours of ethics each renewal period
- Licensees may complete their 24-hour CE requirement by taking courses approved for any line of authority
ANNUITY REQUIREMENT
- Before selling, soliciting, or negotiating annuity products in Indiana, producers must complete a one-time annuity training course approved for at least 4 hours
- Non-residents who satisfy the training requirements of another state that are similar to Indiana’s law will be deemed compliant for Indiana’s requirement
LONG TERM CARE REQUIREMENT
- For LTC Partnership: Initial 15 hours of LTC (8 hours general LTC & one time 7 hour classroom for Indiana Long Term Care Program); 5 hours LTC every 2 years following
- For LTC Only: Initial 8 hours LTC; 5 hours LTC every 2 years following
- The LTC Only 8 hour and 5 hour renewal requirements are waived for agents holding an IN non-resident health license if Indiana has licensing reciprocity with that state
- Non Residents must take the 7 hour Indiana Long Term Care Program
CARRYOVER REQUIREMENT
- Credit hours cannot be carried over to the next compliance period
COURSE REPETITION
- Credit will not be given for a course that is repeated within a compliance period
- This includes Indiana-specific LTC courses
FINAL EXAM
- Indiana requires a 75 question examination for a course approved more than 12 credit hours
- When taking the self-study examination, the producer shall do all of the following: (A) Sign an affidavit, supplied by the provider,
that states the producer did not use outside help such as an open textbook or another individual, in taking the examination. (B) A
second producer must sign the affidavit verifying that the second producer witnessed the first producer’s examination and no
outside help was used. A producer who takes the examination at a testing center that administers tests for professional designations may have
a representative of the testing center sign the affidavit rather than a licensed producer

EXEMPTIONS
- Nonresidents are exempt if agent meets home state CE requirement. Non-residents are also exempt from LTC requirement, but NOT from Indiana LTC Partnership Program requirement.
