LICENSE RENEWAL
- License renewal date is the last day of the agent’s birth month

COURSE SUBJECT REQUIREMENTS
- 3 hours of ethics for each 2-year license term.
- Producers may complete their 24-hour CE requirement by taking courses approved for any line of authority.
ANNUITY REQUIREMENT
- Before selling, soliciting, or negotiating annuity products in New Jersey, producers must complete a one-time annuity training course approved for at least 4 hours.
- Non-residents who satisfy the training requirements of another state that are similar to New Jersey’s law will be deemed compliant for New Jersey’s requirement.
LONG TERM CARE REQUIREMENT
- 8 hours initial LTC, 4 hours LTC every 24 months thereafter.
- Non-residents who satisfy the training requirements of another state that are similar to New Jersey’s law will be deemed compliant for New Jersey’s requirement.
CARRYOVER REQUIREMENT
- Credit hours cannot be carried over to the next compliance period.
COURSE REPETITION
- Credit will not be given for courses taken more than once in a compliance period.
- This rule applies to any variation of course types (self-study, classroom equivalent, etc.).
FINAL EXAM
- Self-study exams are closed-book exams and must be monitored by a disinterested 3rd party. A disinterested 3rd party is any impartial person who does not have a financial interest in the outcome of the examination. The monitor cannot be related (by family) to the student. Monitor-Free courses do not have a final exam and must be completed by passing each end of chapter quiz.
- General Monitor Affidavit needed.
EXEMPTIONS
- Non-resident producers in good standing with their home state.
